The original idea for the splash page before version 1.0. I decided to go in another direction at the time (psychedelic, but not quite as extreme.), but I really liked this graphic. And like the images used for version 1.0, the drawing of Paul was done by Alan Aldridge. It was originally published in The Observer in November 1967.
